Mackenzie Philips on the Jackson Variety Show (1977). She and the 5 sing "Junk Food Junkie". Hmm. Remember this song? I do. Maybe life wasn't better back then, but things were.
And I love this version of Junk Food Junkie. I had that song on a Ronco record called "Funky Favorites." Some other selections off that album: Monster Mash, Ya-Ya, Little Red Riding Hood, Spiders and Snakes, Beep Beep and Hello Mudda, Hello Fadda.
"Maybe life wasn't better back then, but things were." Perfectly put.

Let's get "Mikey" to try it?

Short shameful confession; when I was a kid, I thought Mackenzie Phillips was hawt. I wouldn't think the same now.
Oh boy.
I still think she's hot. Perhaps more than ever.

BTW, the pizza guy (with the bakers hat) looks a little like Jeff Daniels. But in 1977, I guess everyone looked a little like Jeff Daniels.
